We feel that so much parental information does not actually relate to real life! This can be both frustrating and annoying when you need to express how you feel or find some help with a problem and can find no real avenue to do so.
We have found the greatest and most valuable support has come from other parents. We are not negative about parenthood; it is a brilliant experience in so many ways. We do feel however that there would be a lot to be gained from acknowledging that it also has its low points.
The ForParentsByParents web site was born out of the realisation that through the Internet parents could support one another on a much wider scale and that the site could be used to tackle the more challenging and sometimes taboo aspects of becoming and being a parent.
